Welcome to Sea Hawk Air

A high quality seaplane service for Kodiak Island and the Alaska Peninsula

Fly into the heart of Kodiak

Whether you’re heading out fishing, viewing bears and wildlife, or embarking on your own wilderness adventure, Sea Hawk Air provides safe, reliable floatplane service across Kodiak Island and the Alaska Peninsula.

Since 1987, we’ve flown visitors, sportsmen, and locals year-round from our base in Kodiak. Locally owned and operated, we’re dedicated to helping you make the most of your time on the island.

Our de Havilland Beaver seats up to six passengers and carries up to 1,200 lbs of gear. Our friendly staff can help plan your trip, answer questions, and arrange courtesy van service between the airport and town. We’re also happy to recommend local places to stay and explore.

Your Pilot: Wesley Dumm

Wesley grew up in a Kodiak commercial fishing family, learning the island’s weather and geography from an early age. He developed a strong interest in aviation and mechanics throughout his childhood, and eventually earned his aviation degree from Montana State University. Soon after, he returned home to Kodiak to fly commercially and has accumulated thousands of hours of experience flying bush aircraft since.

Rolan and Jo highly recommend Wesley, he is an excellent pilot with an amazing amount of common sense. Born and raised on Kodiak Island, he has spent his whole life understanding water and air conditions. Paired with his hard work ethic and good judgement you can only feel confident with his flying skills.
